PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Bethlehem Academy Community,

This week we are supporting our football team’s Tackle Cancer efforts at Bethlehem Academy.  Last year Tackle Cancer raised over $348,000 to fight cancer in Minnesota.  This year, the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund partnered with the MFCA to challenge every high school football team to sponsor at least one “Tackle Cancer” night during the months of September and October.  Fans attending the game can make donations toward funding additional cancer research and together we can “Tackle Cancer.”

On Monday, our senior football players honored Blayne Johnson, a DMCS kindergartner and 2-year cancer survivor, presenting her with a cancer football and Tackle Cancer bracelet at a DMCS assembly.  Tuesday, at our home volleyball game, our student section was dressed in pink as a symbol of our school’s support for this cause.  Thursday was a dollar Dress Down Day at school.  We suspended our Dress Code for one day, so that our students could wear pink to school as a sign of our support for the fight against cancer.  All week we have been selling “Tackle Cancer” bracelets in the front office.  Tonight, is the Tackle Cancer football game.  Please join us at Bruce Smith Field tonight at 7 p.m., where we will take on our rival, Medford, in the ‘Battle for the Paddle.” Please wear your pink and give generously towards the fight against cancer.  The game will be broadcast on KDHL AM 920.  See attached flyer for more information on the Tackle Cancer events at tonight’s game.

Go Cardinals!
