Bethlehem Academy Community,
Each spring our seniors take an exit survey and let us know their observations regarding their school experience here at BA. Our seniors have told us that their number one concern is “stress caused by schoolwork”.
To help reduce this stress, we will begin to offer students WIN time, each week, on Mondays and Thursdays.
WIN time will begin the third week of each semester and end two weeks prior to final exams. Our first WIN day will be Monday, September 9th.
On WIN days, students will have a one-hour study hall in their homeroom (WIN time). Teachers may issue students passes to leave their homeroom to work with them individually or in small groups. Students may also request passes from teachers they wish to work with. The objective is that students will have greater success and less stress, regarding their schoolwork. In the future student groups may also meet during WIN time.
Here are our adjusted school schedules on WIN days:
HOST AN ARGENTINA STUDENT THIS WINTER
Be an ambassador for America and become a host family for a student from Buenos Aires, Argentina! Becoming a host family is easy, rewarding, and builds life-long friendships. All you need to do is keep being a typical American family and provide room, board, and transportation to and from Bethlehem Academy (you’ll receive a stipend to help offset costs). Students will be in Faribault from January 6 - February 8, 2020 and want to experience America and improve their English. See the attached flyer for and/or contact Kris at email@example.com for more information.
Home & School Dues/ Internet Usage Form
Reminder to please send in your $25 Home & School dues if you haven’t already done so. We are also missing a few Internet/Policy Handbook forms. Please turn these items in ASAP.
Mass Days – Dress Code
Please remind your child to dress appropriately on Mass Days. Mass Days are as follows: Friday, Sept. 13th, 20th and 27th.
Grades 6-11 students will have their school photo taken on Friday, September 13. Seniors may also have their photo taken if not scheduling a senior portrait session. Picture order forms will be distributed to students to bring home.
If your child will be out sick, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a message at
507-334-3948 ext. 302. If your child needs to leave early for an appointment, please have them stop in the office before school to receive a pass.
Note from the Nurse…
Reminder to turn in your medication forms. Families must provide their own Tylenol and Ibuprofen.

It’s not too late to join! Meetings are held on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00-5:00pm in the BA Cafeteria. The cost to participate is $75.00. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
Throughout the year, middle school students may walk to different locations in the community, such as Garfield Park, the public library, or the Village Theater. If you do not wish to have your child walking to these locations, please call our attendance line (507-334-3948 ext. 302) and let us know.
