What's the timeline? March 4 or 5: Students receive registration materials March 7: Parent registration meeting, 6:30 in the BA library March 12 and 13: Students turn in completed registration and online confirmation forms to study hall teachers How do I decide which classes to take? There are many factors to consider when selecting courses for next year. Think about your future path--what are the things you need to do to prepare for that path? What responsibilities or activities are you involved in? Colleges want students that stand out, but also fit their school culture. Not every school is looking for the student that takes a full load of college-level courses; schools also need musicians, artists, athletes, and leaders. If you're considering the military, talk with your recruiter about what jobs might interest you. You might be able to take classes at BA that help you prepare for the ASVAB or physical training requirements! Make sure to also consider your mental health and stress levels. Know what you can handle and make sure you're not stretching yourself too thin. If you're not sure how you'll fare in a college-level course, consider taking a course in a subject you feel confident or one that really interests you. The courses you take at BA will shape your high school experience! More information and tips on selecting courses can be found in the registration presentation (below) and by talking with your counselor!
