Note from the Principal

Bethlehem Academy Community,

Dr. Briscoe is currently taking a little time for personal refreshment so it appears that this news will come from me.  I am Dennis Germann and am helping Bethlehem Academy with administrative duties for now being that Mr. Wollersheim is on leave.  Please pray for him that Our Lord will lift him up as he continues on his journey.  I am working part-time and will only be available until December.  My wife & I have a combined 22 years of Catholic education.  Our careers include Navy enlistment, teaching & principalships in South Dakota and Faribault.

I appreciate the opportunity to work with staff and students again.  May we all continue to heed Christ’s command to spread the Gospel and daily remember His two greatest commandments: You shall love your God with your whole heart, your whole mind, and whole soul; and you should love your neighbor as yourself.

Mr. Dennis Germann

Semester 1 Mid-Term Progress Reports

The Semester 1 Mid-Term Progress Reports (or Quarter 1 Report Cards) will be mailed on Monday, November 4.  Please note these reports are sharing your child(ren)'s progress to date.  The final Semester 1 grade is the grade of credit that appears on student transcript records.

Share the BA Experience!

Student Shadow Days – Starting Nov. 5th

Prospective students and families are encouraged to join us and see what it’s like to be a Cardinal!  Invite interested parents to sign up for a student shadow day and/or school tour here. Scheduled shadow days begin November 5th and run through April.  Spread the word!

Fall Open House – Nov. 14th

More students mean more great things for BA! Please invite students and families interested in BA to join us for our fall open house, Thursday, November 14, 2019. The sports & activities fair begins at 5:30 pm, with presentations and tours at 6:00 pm.  Click here for more information.  All are welcome!

Student Art Exhibit

Please visit the Creger Gallery at the Paradise Center for the Arts to see a wonderful exhibit of BA student artwork.  The student art will be on display through November 18.

Backpack Blessings Program - Nov. 6th, 7:30 am

Coordinator Gretchen Moe, from Reliance Bank, will speak to students about the creation of food packs for student backpacks.  These food packs contain nutritious meals for children in need on the weekends or during school breaks.  This helps “bridge the gap” so that children return to school not hungry but instead ready to learn.

Pregnancy Options – Nov. 20th, 7:30 am

Gina Little from Pregnancy Options will be a guest speaker at the Student Service Club meeting.

In order to minimize the number of interruptions to the classroom, we kindly ask that you contact us before school if your student will be missing any part of the day.

You can email us at attendance@bacards.org or leave a message at 507-334-3948 ext. 302.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

Help your Child Grow: Be a Host Family!

Looking for a safe, affordable way for your child to grow and learn about another culture?  Consider being a host family!  We are looking for an ASAP family for a 6thgrade boy through KoAm.  HyunJae is Catholic, loves math and English, plays the piano and soccer.  We are also looking for full-time host families for our high school SPP scholars as well as 9 families (6 girls, 3 boys) for our visiting Argentina students in January. Contact Kris @ ksauer@admissions.com for more information.

Letter Jackets

A representative from Meca Sportswear will be at BA on Thursday, November 7th  from 7:30-8:30 am to take orders for letter jackets and accessories.

See attached flyer for all the details!

BA Van Driver Needed

Bethlehem Academy is accepting applications for a BA Van Driver.  The van runs daily in the morning and afternoon picking up students in Webster and Northfield in time for 8:00 classes and driving them home after school. If you have a valid driver’s license, enjoy young people and are interested in part-time work, see the full job description at www.bacards.org.

We had another fun and successful Trunk or Treat at BA and Divine Mercy Catholic School!

Thank you to all the volunteers who made this such a great event!!
