March 15 Letter from Dr. Briscoe

March 15, 2020

To the BA Community:

We are reaching out to assure you that the safety of each student and staff member is our highest priority in the face of this world-wide health pandemic, COVID-19.  Tomorrow we ask all students to come to BA and take all of their school books and materials home for the short term.  Governor Walz has closed all Minnesota Schools through March 27, 2020.  He also said that we need to be prepared to continue on-line learning after that date.  None of us have many answers, we just know that our school, community and lives in the short term have changed.  We need to pray that God will help us find the right pathway moving forward as one

We will keep the focus on our mission of student learning for the fourth quarter of the 2019-20 school year.  Our outstanding faculty will transition to on-line learning for the coming weeks and longer if necessary, to meet the educational needs of every child.  Parents, we need your patience, prayers and support.   We will do our best to keep up with the changes that occur by the hour each day.

After tomorrow (March 16), we expect the school will be closed to everyone until we get a green light from the Governor.  All spring activities are on hold until at least March 27.  We will provide updates on scheduled school future events like BABS, the spring play and prom as we decisions are made.  I trust that our faith in God and the special intercessions of St. Dominic and St. Joseph will help BA to move forward together during this major health event.

Most of our communication will be by e-mail after tomorrow and we will do our very best to stay current with all the changes that are occurring.  Thanks for your trust and prayers in this wonderful school.

Sincerely:

Dr. Chuck Briscoe
President/Principal
