Below are links to the forms needed for schedule changes, becoming a teacher aid and independent study options. Please note that schedules will not change until after ALL necessary paperwork and signatures have been received in the counseling office. You are encouraged to touch base with the counselor to discuss these options!

TEACHER AID FORM

Teacher Aid & Tutoring Options (.5 elective credit)

Senior students in good standing and with a genuine interest in helping with the education process are encouraged to explore the option of being a Teacher’s Aid or Tutor. Students may only TA for a course they have already taken, and are only allowed one TA course per semester. TA opportunities are at the discretion of the teacher. Students may not be a TA if an elective course they have not yet taken is available during that hour. TA courses are graded P/F.

INDEPENDENT STUDY FORMS

Independent Study (.5 elective credit)

Students interested in an independent study course need to coordinate an agreement with an independent study advisor. Together, the student and advisor will collaborate on the Independent Study framework. Students are encouraged to complete all other elective offerings before pursuing an independent study course. Students are only allowed one independent study per semester.

DROP/ADD REQUEST

A class change may be made at the beginning of each semester by request of the student with a parent and teacher signature on a form provided by the Guidance Counselor. This must be made within the first 3 weeks of the semester with a teacher signature.

Grades for Dropped Classes: The grade for the dropped class will be:

W (withdrawal--no credit--not included in GPA) if the withdrawal is during the first 3 weeks of Quarter 1 or 3, the start of the semester
WF (withdrawal failing--no credit--F included in GPA--appears on transcript) if the withdrawal occurs through student initiation after 3 weeks from the start of Quarter 1 and 3, regardless of the current course grade.
